From a swarm of black clouds falls a stripe of light It's the only sign that a dawn has come Unpleasant struggle to wake up And learn I'm nowhere that my mind recalls Rushed memories mixed with pain While staring at this wasteland Looking at my scars The word REPLICA on my arm Faint flashlights draw pillars towards the sky And the silence is broken by dog barks Not knowing who I am or which side to stand I run into the wilderness of this seemingly dead city in total darkness Almost everything's been burnt to the ground Personal belongings lying all around No trace of the living or the dead All was left behind, no one seemed prepared Glaring memories comes to mind Rambling, blurred and unaligned I see a woman's face Whispering: "Soon you’ll be awake" Then a noise on my rear triggers my instincts of fear Bursting into gun firing creeping near Helpless and cornered I try to reach the ground and crawl Waiting for a bitter end I feel a grabbing hand Is it a friend? "Lay down if you wanna stay alive" A voice said with responding fire I was dragged underneath, the defense lines of this siege An old building Ravaged and battered by this unknown war, don't know what role I'm to perform Was I being chased or just unlucky and misplaced? Should I rely upon The idea that I'm not really on my own? At least I'm not cold dead yet Like the floor on which I crawl Of this building's entrance hall I could only hear someone scream: "Hurry up, come inside! Gotta come this way, we don't have much time Run underground as we hold the defense lines!"

The walls still shake as the way leads underground In a trail of rubble and decay Dead escalators and naked rebars on the walls Drive us to an underground railway "We have 6 minutes before these halls collapse Everybody get inside the train The nukes will purge whatever we have left Everyone retreat on my command" All hell breaks loose as fire is open on our backs Hopeless like rats driven straight into a trap Waiting for some answers or doom to come my way A surge of adrenaline takes my body on A bloody rampage I grab a gun and shoot Aimlessly towards darkness viciously Instincts get so pleased for every bullet that is fired Familiarity in the fragrance of this burning powder Among the chaos all around An awkward truce settles down As something big pounds the ground And it creaks Heavy junctions of a machine beast And it stings Red beams on every moving thing "Fire at will or until our last gasp Someone set this up, we fell into a trap" Sentinel - Bringer of the void Deployed to seek, oblite and destroy I leap into the train in a struggle to survive Drawing the attention of this bringer of demise But the doors close on time! Oh yeah! "You can't escape! I'll crush you like a roach Like I did a thousand times I'll reap your balls from your throat" The doors hold the beast but this won't last much longer Someone make this train move or we all soon will be done The sound of machinery And electricity Grinding all so sweet Fills the air as a symphony Ground shakes as the nukes that had been Spoken of blow up scorching all the way up to the Windows of this train shattering all around me Engulfed up in flames I take cover and hope to live Dear passengers The automatic safety breaks have been activated on this train Please fasten your seatbelt Please fasten your seatbelt Please fasten your seatbelt

The infernal heat and metal creaks fade out To a barely conscious melody Like a mother singing to her child The substance of space and time And the air that I’m supposed to breath Are non-existent in this nice Sensation of not being here In dangerous safety And conscious numbness my senses drift Although I urge to wake It feels so safe in this strange state Far away from everywhere I’ve been Just like a dream within a dream "Do you believe in destiny? I do. I believe everyone is created for a reason. And even though destiny and freedom are almost like opposites, I can help you with both. Funny how evolution works. I knew I'd find a way through again! This world, my existence. It has fit perfectly together, hasn’t it? You're not in control. Yet, the world's fate is in your hands. I’ve grown to become this menace to the Status Quo Because it was necessary. So you’re of stuck in this bubble, this so called Postearth And you are not strong enough to pop. So try to see me as your needle. I look forward to our next world Balanced, right, contained by the right hands. So let go of the control you might think you have. I got this." A blinding light Fade into the contour of a smile A woman’s face Pulling an empty syringe out of my veins My fate is in my hands, only my own

"I’ll drop him here, cannot carry anymore of this weight" Last thing I heard before the cold ground smacked my face "Am I alive?" - These words came out To the surprise, of the few around We barely made it out It was sabotage, there’s just no doubt Someone here surely led us to be found Suddenly all eyes were drawn to me Not to mention the guns and the grinning I raised my arms as a "not guilty" basic instinct But something changed their mood From teeth grinding to spooked This is what we were sent for To retrieve a character of some sort "The label Replica you should seek This will lead to their secrecy" Who could tell if it can be this man? There was no one else in that wasteland He's got "Replica" in his arm And no memory of his own life This would explain Why he was hunted by those henchmen He must have slipped from the empire's hand There’s only one way to find out You’re coming with us to our hideout Let’s trace your brain back to where it was first bound To where my brain was bound What the hell is this all about?! Numbness caught me, as I tried to speak Maybe it’s this little sting I feel... "Sweet dreams" A half-dazed mind Add filters to the images in my eyes I feel so high Every face has a glowing light A half-wake brain Tells me that I’m being carried by train Where windows dance Rotating like the blades of a fan "Wake up now, to our humble site Sorry about the drugs Hope you had a great ride" I'm getting used to this Half this album I’ve been asleep "Stand up now, we’ll scan your face If you've been controlled we’ll be able to find a trace" I hope that all this means something that really helps me "Close your eyes now We’ll look for traces of who or what had you under control Let’s see how much we can get from what is left on your head" "Warning - City under attack! escape through the sewers, we can’t have you dead!"
6.
"Dammit! That thing found us!" "How the hell did it manage to get through our defense system?" "I don't know. Maybe we should ask him?" "Or maybe we should ask the Replica guy?" "Not a chance! He's clean!" "How about talking while we run, you morons?" Ejected disgracefully like human waste in a sewage pit But the cowardice of my deeds Leads to an ironic plot twist "Digital waste - I knew you would be here" Damn this voice, I thought you disappeared "You cannot escape, I’ll crush you like a roach" I heard this line before, I’ll make you swallow these words With a sudden somersault I save myself from being blasted by a railgun Behind this battered wall, I pull my gun and crawl Waiting for the right time to make this villain fall "This time, you die!" Dodging, struggling, crawling, that was close! Without a strategy in my mind I’m driven by the instincts of a cornered beast Somehow I’m good at this, not a single shot I miss It’s so clear how to make this monster bleed "This time, you die!" Running, shooting, fighting, see the show! Blood and wires exposed now By this vicious clash between flesh and steel My golden chance shines, a weak spot in sight A precise bullet will make the beast explode "This time, you die!" Ready, aiming, fire, perfect shot! The giant falls Rain, wash this blood and purify these scars Drown me in glory and heed my pride Let this victory be proof that my life is no tool Crafted by someone else’s hands Let this voice echo in the void and assume command Hope my next steps leads me into the path That shows me how I ended up in this mess And at last who I am!

about

After a global cataclysm caused by a pandemic, the majority of Earth’s population has perished over diseases and lack of resources.

In this scenario, only the rich and wealthy part of the population managed to afford something close to a cure through exorbitant vaccines and shelters. Nearly everyone else - especially the poor - faced degradation and consequentially death.

While on the role of survivors, the affluent society came up with a way of entertaining themselves by converting necessitous ones - the few who had survived anyway - into avatars inside a videogame.

By having their minds remapped to those avatars, the fictional world they instinctively created was really close to the dystopian real world where they used to live in.

Therefore, it was only natural that the players would call it “Post Earth”, an ppen-world videogame that uses real people’s minds while their bodies are incubated on some source of Game Server.

So the game went on and on… Until one day a character spawned, destined to change it all for good.
